OK, I think we are going to get you a SAM9263EK and two AVR development kits. There are two kits around, STK1000 and AVR32 Gateway. What is the minimum requirement for OpenEmbedded? The SAM9263EK has much more memory, 64 MB SDRAM, 8 MB Dataflashcard and 256 MB NAND Flash so I do not think this is going to be a problem. I might also get an ATR0663EK. This is the AT91SAM9263 with a built in GPS receiver. Personally, I think this is the coolest chip we have... Which AVR32 kit would you prefer? STK1000 comes with a nice screen, but only has 8 MB SDRAM and 8 MB Flash. Normally sells for $500. The Gateway does not have a screen (I believe it may be possible to add a screen), but has 32 MB SDRAM (in a by 16 configuration) and 16 MB of Flash. Normally sells for $69 Both kits can have Linux/RootFS on a SD-Card. -- Best Regards, Ulf Samuelsson ulf@atmel.com Atmel Nordic AB Mail: Box 2033, 174 02 Sundbyberg, Sweden Visit: Kavallerivägen 24, 174 58 Sundbyberg, Sweden Phone +46 (8) 441 54 22 Fax +46 (8) 441 54 29 GSM +46 (706) 22 44 57
